The Cairo Research Centre was opened in May 2019 by Sir Geoffrey Adams KCMG, the UK Ambassador to Egypt. The CRC aims to encourage and promote the academic study of Egypt and the Middle East and foster a better understanding of our shared community history and culture. The CRC provides research resources for the study of the region and organises regular public events, lectures and seminars. The Centre is located in the All Saints Episcopal/Anglican Church. It is a partnership between the Church and academics from the British University in Cairo (Egypt), the University of Leicester (UK), Cambridge University (UK), Lund University  (Sweden) and the University of Salzburg (Austria). We welcome academics, researchers and members of the public of all nationalities, cultural backgrounds and religious faiths.
